This new round Peak hand-held magnifier is an improved version of conventional magnifiers. It has a ground bi-convex crown glass lens of optically pure white glass. These magnifiers are produced using UV-absorbing crown glass; the same type of glass as used for corrective eye glasses (refractive index n= 1.52). The excellent quality of the silicate glass lens, which is also resistant to scratching and solvents, make this hand-held magnifier a standard testing tool for every workshop. A small, 20 mm diameter lens is cemented to the large, 75 mm diameter lens. The large lens has a magnification factor of 2.5 x; the small lens a magnification factor of 5 x. The magnified image is very sharp and clear.
