Camera systems for upgrading grinding machines and optical measuring systems

The USB zoom microscopes of the KITOZOOM series are often installed in grinding machines as a replacement for profile projectors. Another area of application is the retrofitting of older microscope systems. If a microscope or video microscope is available in the company, but the optics are defective, but the high-quality, heavy stand can still be used, the combination with the Kitozoom is optimal. If the old stand has cross tables, the metric measurement software can read the XY coordinates via an interface. With a small investment compared to a completely new system, a good stand with a cross measurement table can now be reused.

Often, space problems or special features of a test station are the reasons why a standard solution with a stand cannot be used. The user can then have the stand specially made for his test task and only has to mount the optics.

Here you will find various designs, such as with a protective housing and precision guide or just the raster zoom system with USB camera and LED ring light. In the highest configuration level, the camera system is mounted on a 400 mm long precision guide. For precise focusing, the optical unit can be finely adjusted on the guide. In the standard version, the Kitozoom is supplied with a 0.5x attachment lens, a 0.67x optical adapter and a simple, dimmable LED ring light with 98 LEDs. The industrial USB 3.0 camera with 5.6 megapixels, built into a protective housing, is connected via a 5-meter special cable. For extremely challenging surfaces, we offer many optional additional lighting systems that can be combined with the Kitozoom video microscope.

The Metric MT measuring software included in the price is the perfect solution for your 2D measuring tasks. We are happy to provide you with specific advice. The systems are always supplied with a calibration disc with 0.1 mm graduation and DAkkS protocol.

You can find a PDF drawing of each system in the download area (step-by-step file by e-mail on request) for the further construction of your holding device. You can find a detailed description of the optical system and the USB camera under “Video Microscopes” in the rubric “Kitozoom Video Microscopes”. Further optical configurations with different fields of view are listed there, which are made possible by changing the attachment lens or the upper optical adapter.
