Extravagant: Anyone who picks up a magnifier automatically moves the lens to his eye. With our Beta magnifiers, you can forget this. These special lenses allow observation of objects from a distance of 20 to 30 centimetres. The field of view, which is approx. 12 mm when the lens is next to the eye, is reduced to 3 mm at a distance of approx. 20 centimetres and is completely distortion-free. (Distance 10 centimetres = field of view approx. 5 mm). The colour-corrected lenses in the Beta magnifiers is only one of the reasons for their extreme popularity, because it it possible to clearly recognize the individual halftone dots at a distance of 20 centimetres. A further major advantage is that the increased distance between the eye and lens prevents shadows falling on the object to be inspected. These magnifiers are equipped with a special lens system making them egronomical and easy on the eye. The lenses have an anti-reflex coating. The optical system consists of three lenses subdivided into two groups.

The lens system can be focussed initially by moving the lens close to the eye and then turning the thread to the right distance. The lens can then be arrested with the counter-ring present on the thread. Then hold the lens at the optimum distance for the user or move your eye away until the desired distance is reached. The lens can be folded into a case for protection during transport.

The VIEW-10 stand magnifier and SWING-10 pivoting magnifier differ only in terms of the body design. The VIEW-10 is produced of clear acrylic material allowing light in from all sides. Instead of continuously repositioning the entire magnifier the lens in the SWING-10 can simply be moved to the side with one finger.

Can an extravagant magnifier like the MAG-10 be improved?

This lens has refuted the old contradiction that the field of view is automatically reduced at high magnification factors. In spite of its 12x magnification this lens offers a 15 mm field of view when positioned against the eye. At a distance of 10 centimetres it is still approx. 6 mm and at 20 centimetres approx. 5 mm. The lenses have an anti-reflex coating. The optical system consists of three lenses subdivided into two groups.

An optional LED illumination unit can be inserted into the recess in the lens mount when the case is open. The cover can then be closed again. This additional illumination eliminates all dark spots. The LED illumination unit cannot be used with the MAG-10 or MAG-20.

And now things really become exciting: Does the same principle still function at a magnification factor of 20x? The answer is yes!

In spite of its 20x magnification this lens offers a 6 mm field of view when positioned against the eye. At a distance of 10 centimetres it is still approx. 2 mm and at 20 centimetres approx. 1 mm. The lenses have an anti-reflex coating. The optical system consists of three lenses subdivided into two groups.
